A letter from our founder:
The idea of The Connection Journal developed from one pivotal moment in my life that changed me for the better. My hope in sharing this memory with you is that it may spark a change within you for the better too.
I was sitting in the sun reading when this feeling of sureness overcame me. It was like I was slowly reconnecting with myself again. It took me by surprise because I hadn’t felt like myself in a long time. I was at a low point - feeling lost, disconnected from the world and so unsure of my purpose. It was at that moment that I realized I had let myself go. I was so consumed in my day to day tasks that I realized I hadn’t been making time to feel present, feel connected to the world around me. I wasn’t showing up for my friends, family, neighbors or myself. That’s when I decided it had to change. I had to change. I came up with these three daily micro goals for myself; to practice gratitude, spend intentional time outside, and do something nice for someone else every single day.
I still almost can’t believe how much those micro habits have changed my life. They’ve propelled me into being the best version of myself. I no longer feel sluggish or like life is passing me by. I’ve become someone who is willing to do things again - to go the extra mile.
I now have willing hands and a willingness to live life to its fullest.
-all my love
